The wonderful girl who started it all. I will never find the words to express how much this dog has meant to me. My life was set out on a course I had never expected the day she entered it. My first obedience titled dog was on her way and progressing nicely in her CDX training. Unfortunately, after she received her CD her knee blew out and from that day on it was just one thing after another. She retired early. One of the sweetest dogs I have ever known or owned. The day we lost her, a small part of me left with her and once again she changed my life. This time upon leaving.

As special as Cinder was to me, I was not prepared for the grip that Miss Lily would have on my heart. Of all our dogs, past and present, we spent more time training, trialing, and traveling than any of them. Lily was as smart as they come. She was also as stubborn as they can get. This made training and competing both a challenge and extremely rewarding.
We were still actively training and competing in agility and Veteran conformation when in June of 2013 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She was giving high doses of prednisone to take down the swelling and we considered further diagnostics, but the tumor grew so quickly and we lost her on July 6th of 2013. This was a devastating time for me and I miss her and her naughty antics every day. I was not prepared for how her loss would impact my life and I am not ashamed to say it took me almost a year to work through the depression. She was such a great dog and we lost her way too early. Still so full of life and energy. We miss you Miss Lil-Butt.
Lily came to us from Endeavor Labradors.
In 2017 I finally had another portrait done by by Victoria Peterson Laird. This beautiful photo graces the wall in our living room.

"Eyecatching yellow of quality. Feminine head, lovely expression. Good neck into well placed shoulders. Good spring of rib, level topline, correct coat and tail. Moved well." - Jan-Roger Sauge LRCP 2008 Critique

Loyal. Loving. Comical. A few words to describe Gryphon. He was my first conformation dog and he taught me that life is too short to take things seriously. He had a blast in the ring and he made me enjoy myself out there. Living in the moment even if it meant not knowing what the heck he would do next! From bear-hugging the judge, dancing around on happy feet and never standing still for more than half a second, eating grass during his entire agility run, stealing the agility cones during class and running the entire course with it in his mouth, or trying to steal the earrings out of a judge's ears while nibbling on them. His antics were never-ending! I still get the biggest smile thinking of our adventures.

I first met Rhumba at just three days old and fell instantly in love. She has the most amazing temperament and loves everyone she meets. She is a Labrador in every way. A true testament to the reason I fell in love with this breed. Temperament. Temperament. Temperament. Nothing bothers this dog.
Roo, as she is called around here, is the second Lab from my good friend, Jeanine Asch, of Endeavor Labradors.
Reading dog, Rally Obedience "Star" and an acting role (see below)!
In 2011 she began a four-year journey in the Therapy Dogs International Tail Waggin' Tudor program at the Petoskey District Library. She retired from the program in 2015 when we moved from the area.
She also returned to the obedience ring that year and finished her AKC Beginner Novice and UKC Rally titles.
It is with great sadness that we announce we lost our beloved Rhumba-Roo on November 15, 2018.
A once in a lifetime dog who will be missed by many.

In December of 2013 our Rhumba-Roo starred as Sandy in the musical Annie at our local theatre. She spent a month in rehearsals and did an outstanding job for all of her scenes for 7 nights of shows.
After night after night of practice she began to understand the musical cues that preceded her parts and she would get restless and whine. I found this very entertaining. We both enjoyed the experience.
She enjoyed the children more than anything.

Kaiser was a rescue dog we obtained in 2013. We are his third home and it was only a matter of days before we came to the conclusion we would be is final home. He is a fantastic dog and a wonderful member of our clan.
